Sobre o evento
In celebration of BALSA's 1st anniversary, we are honored to welcome one of the greatest names in contemporary science: Dr. Craig C. Mello, Nobel Prize laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 2006, for his groundbreaking discovery of RNA interference (RNAi).
Dr. Mello is a professor at UMass Chan Medical School, was a researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute for over two decades, and is the author of one of the most transformative contributions to modern molecular biology.
In this special meeting, he shares his scientific journey, the behind-the-scenes story of the discovery that changed our understanding of gene regulation, and reflections on the future of science — in an open conversation with young Brazilian researchers.
