Entrepreneurship in Biotech in the US
A conversation with the founder and CEO of Bonds Biosystems
ABOUT THE EVENT
How do you turn cutting-edge science into a biotech startup?
BALSA hosted a conversation with Rafael Dariolli, biologist, entrepreneur, and Founder & CEO of Bonds Biosystems, a Boston-area biotech startup building 3D human organoid platforms for drug discovery and development.
Rafael combines expertise in stem cells, cardiovascular biology, obesity research, and translational science to build more predictive human models for pharmaceutical and biotech applications. Before founding Bonds Biosystems, he developed his scientific career in Brazil and the United States, including research at Mount Sinai in New York.
The conversation explored the paths to building a biotech in the U.S., the challenges of founding a company grounded in translational science, and the role of innovative human models in drug development.
