Brazilian Scientific Diaspora Congress
Innovation and Technology in the Life Sciences
ABOUT THE EVENT
Brazilian researchers from institutions across the United States will gather in New York for the first Brazilian Scientific Diaspora Congress (Congresso da Diáspora Científica Brasileira). BALSA is proud to co-organize this inaugural congress alongside the Consulate General of Brazil in New York, PUB NY, and Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, hosted at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
Under the theme Innovation and Technology in the Life Sciences, this first edition will explore new technologies, scientific innovation, and their impact on research and society. The call for research submissions welcomes work from all disciplines.
The program includes an opening keynote, two discussion panels, and research showcases where participants present their own work. The congress offers a space to exchange ideas and experiences, build connections across institutions, and create new opportunities for scientific collaboration.
Brazil's scientific diaspora spans dozens of institutions. Bringing this community together helps turn that reach into lasting connections and shared possibilities.
Register through Luma by October 31 at 11:59 PM EDT. Registration is subject to approval by the organizers. See the Luma event page for the latest program and research submission details.
