ABOUT THE EVENT
The Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C., in cooperation with the Consulate General of Brazil in San Francisco, hosted this seminar on March 4, 2026, in celebration of International Women's Day.
BALSA took part alongside Dimensions Sciences, contributing to the conversation on career paths, research, and STEM trajectories in the United States, and on opportunities to connect science, innovation, and entrepreneurship ecosystems. The event also marked the opening of the 2026 ScientistA Award call for applications.
Hosted by Marcia Fournier, PhD (Founder and President of Dimensions Sciences) and Paulo Cezar Rotella Braga (Head of the Science and Technology Office at the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C.), the seminar welcomed Bruna Paulsen, PhD and Mirian Krystel De Siqueira, PhD for a conversation on women in STEM careers.
