Translational Control of Adipose Tissue Plasticity
Our invited speaker is Dr. Mirian Krystel de Siqueira, Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, will present and discuss her research on how translational control by ribosomes regulates metabolism and cellular adaptation.
She earned her PhD at UCLA, focusing on adipose tissue plasticity, and previously completed her master’s in Brazil in collaboration with the NIH. Her work explores how metabolic signals reshape protein synthesis to maintain cellular resilience, and she has been recognized with honors including AHA awards, selection as a Lindau Nobel Meeting Fellow, and the 2025 ScientistA Award.
